I am a 45 year Biologist with no formal art training but have wanted to follow an art course for many years. I became hooked on life-drawing 20 years ago whilst studying for a PhD in Biomechanics and have maintained a strong interest in the human form ever since.
I have three children aged 7, 10 and 12 and between them and working part-time drawing has taken a bit of a back seat for several years. However, having finally taken the plunge and enrolled on Drawing 1 I am hoping to be able to explore a way of moving forward artistically and to develop some skills on the way.

I like the way you made these tools seem human, rather than hard and mechanical. I would like to credit and compensate you for the use of your image.
